Bollywood Dance School

Bollywood Dance School (BDS) is a global organization operating in over 6 cities across 3 countries: Australia, UK & Canada with the motto of “Connecting Global Communities through Dance”. BDS works with expert faculty, their Principal Dancers & Instructors from the Bollywood Industry who have travelled from India to these respective countries & have been a part of the Bollywood Industry with a teaching experience of over 25 years.

BDS aims to get Indian culture & heritage brought out to the world in the most admirable way by delivering the best training grounds to all Dance lovers across the globe.

Bollywood Dance School UK

Is on a mission to share the Indian culture with British community through Indian performing arts and dance forms. We share the joy of dance, empower and motivate individuals to get fit through Dance and enthrall the audiences through performance.

At Bollywood Dance School UK, we have an aim to provide quality dance training and making dance available to all, BDS (UK) dance classes run throughout the year at multiple locations providing training in various dance styles by their expert faculty. The classes give them an opportunity to learn dance, express themselves creatively and perform on stage. These classes are for Kids, Teens, Adults, Students, Working Professionals & Senior Citizens.

Founders & Artistic Directors

Rohan & Shruti have been in the Entertainment Industry for over 25 years. They has contributed in a big way to the growth and success of various organiations in over three continents. They have taught over 50,000 students In the last 2 decades In 13 cities across India, Canada, Australia & UK! Our Directors have performed in block-buster Bollywood films Including Taal, Kisna, Bunty Aur Babli, Aladdin, Dhoom 2 and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. They have also performed & assisted in Choreography & Direction for Bollywood film awards events including IIFA Awards, Filmfare Awards, Zee Cine Awards, StarDust Awards & many more. They have choreographed & directed various public & corporate events in the UK in past 8 yrs such as BBC Asian Life, Asian Currys Awards, &TV Launch with Shahrukh khan, UK Welcomes PM Modi at Wembley Stadium & many more.

While Shruti has trained Bollywood stars Including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh and Bipasha Basu, Rohan has worked on various events & projects with Bollywood Stars such as Shahrukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor & his favourite Salman Khan!

They are the only independent Bollywood Choreographers based out of the UK. They recent work includes in movies such as Girl on the Train, Shiddat, Sher Bagga, & Bhal Tera Star hair featuring Raaghav Juyal.

They recently choreographed all the songs from the movie 'Aabeer Gulaal' shot in the UK featuring Fawad Khan & Vaani Kapoor.

Dance Classes

Our Dance classes are run by top quality trained, Industry Professional Instructors with an experience of over 25 years. Dance Classes are available for children (4 to 7 years), Pre Teens (7 to 12 years) and adults (13 years onwards). At Bollywood Dance School UK, we teach different dance styles including

Showcases & Presentations

Currently we have 2 Student Concerts- ‘Summer Showcase’ & ‘Winter Showcase’ which happen in the year at the end of our Summer & Winter term respectively. Be part of our talented family in a warm and friendly environment. Bollywood Dance School UK gives you the opportunity to meet new people whilst developing your performing art skills through a wide range of disciplines. The aim of the performing arts course is to give all those taking part regardless of age & experience the chance to learn their favorite dance styles through the course, practice choreography and design costumes and properties. They also learn stage performance technique; build confidence, discipline, teamwork and professionalism. Showcases in summer and winter are held at prominent auditoriums and tickets generally go on sale a few weeks prior to the show for students and their family and friends.

Tickets for general public subject to availability.

Courses that do not culminate in a Showcase would usually end with an informal yet professionally organized presentation by the students for the students only.

Intensive Programmes

Our intensive programs are for dancers who are want to learn the advanced nuances for dance and performing arts and being a part of our Dance Company. The Bollywood Dance School Intensive Program is designed to give students from all ages the opportunity to train and study dance in a professional environment. This program is for students who meet certain aptitude criteria and is structured to advance the technical skills of dancers and improve their overall dance vocabulary. To qualify for the intensive classes, students are required to have partaken in general dance classes run by the company for a minimum of 6 months before they are eligible to audition internally. This is so that dancers can cultivate a strong foundation before building upon their skills. However, once a year we also have auditions open to the general public to expand our student base.

Students aged 8 to 12 can audition for a chance to be one of our Intensive Juniors and students over the age of 13 can audition to participate in our Intensive Advance batch or Intensive Crew or Bolly Crew batches.
Training does not cease with the intensive program. Students who excel will also be invited to join the company dance team and can pass knowledge onto other dancers by becoming a Junior Instructor.

Dance @ School

A specially designed programme that forms a part of School’s regular curriculum, Dance@School reaches out to children empowering them with the power of the performing arts at the convenience of their school premises. These workshops are run with the intent to promote health and fitness through the medium of dance and are designed in a way to allow students to get involved and enjoy themselves regardless of their dance experiences channelizing their energy in a resourceful manner.

Dance @ Work

Easing hectic work schedules and professional stress, Bollywood Dance School UK spreads the joy of dance to working professionals at the convenience of their own office & corporate space! These customized dance sessions offer various dance styles and activities that help them de stress, improve team work and motivate employees. A specialized show is designed around their Annual Celebrations & Christmas Parties by the employees for the employees.
